Cleanse On!

I just started a 21 day Purification Program through Standard Process. I do it every year. I find the first three days are the hardest. Sometimes I am ready to kill someone for a cookie :) And then...I start to feel amazing...increased vitality, sleeping soundly, and no aches or pains anywhere in my body. I look forward to doing this cleanse every year.

The basis of this purification program is to avoid these five things for 21 days...dairy, gluten, sugar, caffeine, and alcohol. The first 7 days I take supplements to help clean out my liver. The second two weeks I continue with increased greens and fiber. The purpose: to pull xenoestrogens out of the body and to balance the endocrine system. Added bonus: lose a little weight around the middle, and feel great!

Below, you will find a yummy recipe for Marinara and Spaghetti Squash. This recipe uses spaghetti squash instead of heavy wheat pasta. If you decide you'd like to eat the spaghetti squash raw using a special grater will assist you in preparation. You will also find information about a unique Japanese gadget to help turn all veggies into strings of spaghetti. This makes eating gluten free nice and easy.

Thanks for listening and Cleanse on!
