Welcome to Awaken Balance!

Thank you for choosing a whole body approach to wellness

We look forward to being a part of your health care team.

Some suggestions for your first In person appointment:

  • Please read the suggestions for first time patients here. You will also be able to download your New Patient forms by clicking on the links on the right side of this page. Acupuncture patients, please print out “Patient Acupuncture Forms.” NAET patients, please print out both the “Patient Acupuncture Forms” and “Patient NAET Forms.” Please bring these to your first appointment already filled out. Successful healthcare and preventive medicine are made possible when the practitioner has a more complete understanding of the patient.

  • You should allow 75-90 minutes for your initial session. Follow up sessions are 45-60 minutes.

  • Do not brush or clean your tongue the morning of your acupuncture session.

  • Attire: it is best to wear loose clothing or clothing that can be pulled up to just above the knees and elbows.

  • This is a fragrance free office. Please be sensitive to this. If your body products contain heavy perfumes, please abstain from wearing them the day of your appointment. Many of the patients coming to Awaken Balance have sensitivities and allergies to colognes and perfumes.

  • Please keep in mind there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary.  Therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. If you forget, cancel or change your appointment within 24 hours of your appointment, I miss the opportunity to fill that time, and patients miss the opportunity to receive services; your card will therefore be charged equal to 100% of the reserved service amount.  The appointment may be taken off of a contract/package or charged individually.

  • Forms of payment accepted: CASH, check, Venmo,  PayPal, Apple Pay.

  • Please feel free to park on one side of the driveway or in guest parking. Guest parking is located about 100 feet down the street on both the left and right sides of the street.

Distance Sessions Questions and Answers:

1) Do I need to be at home and/or lying down during the session?
Sessions are done easily during normal everyday activities but most people tend to like to relax or engage in a quieter activity during their session time.

2) Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Nothing specific needs to be done in preparation.

3) What will I notice following a session?
Monitor how you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally. Notice how you feel post session AND make note if there are differences in how you respond to people and/or situations that previously were triggers. Often a general sense of well being is noted. You may notice tingling, heat, cold or other sensations throughout their body. Healing is individually tailored and rate of results vary with each individual. Know that healing is occurring on a deep level.

4) When will I find out the details of my session?
You will be sent a voice recording of your session via either email or text the same day as your session.

5) How do group sessions work at a distance?

Much like working with an individual, the priority for the group becomes the focus. Sometimes there is a prearranged theme set as the agenda for the group session. Often times, individuals feel that the session was specifically for them.
