Bounty

With all of the recent natural disasters, its hard to think of anything but all of the suffering going on. Devastation, destruction, loss, fear.
My garden still brings solace in the midst of despair. This morning I watched birds hopping around inside and outside the garden, gathering little things to eat. A beautiful yellow butterfly perched herself amongst the greenery. Yesterday, the squirrel, that “steals” his treats, brought up feelings of kindness and love as I watched him nibble.
Blessings for this bounty…my home, peace, quiet, a sanctuary of support. I am thinking of all those that I know and love in Oregon, Washington, Mexico, Florida, Texas, and Cuba. As well as those that I don’t know, who are struggling to keep their families and themselves safe from harm.
