Acupuncture for Migraines
Migraine headaches as diagnosed by the Mayo clinic are an “intense throbbing or a pulsing sensation in one area of the head, commonly accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound.” Migraines can last anywhere from hours to days and come as often as every day. Some people are so ill that they are forced to lye down in a dark room for days. Migraines can be preceded by tingling, sensitivity to light and sound, or visual disturbances.
In my practice I have found that migraines and headaches can be instantly reduced if not eradicated while the patient is on the table. Treatment for migraines usually involves looking at three areas of imbalance: structural, hormonal, and food/chemical allergies. Acupuncture and NAET is a dynamic treatment combination in the treatment of migraines. Acupuncture can immediately reduce migraine pain, while the patient is still on the table. NAET works to address the long standing allergies to various chemicals, foods, and hormones.
Acupuncture with Leslie has instantly erased migraines while on the treatment table! I am not having headaches as often now, nor is the headache as intense as before. I have not had one sinus infection in the past year where I previously had continuous sinus infections, one right after the other. Symptoms of allergies and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) that I have suffered from most of my life have greatly diminished due to acupuncture and NAET. I have quit most of my medications, under the supervision of my medical doctor. My quality of life is overall greatly improved!
